Hi Fi amp - wanted

Has anyone got an old hifi amp of some description lying around? I'm building a first 'proper' hifi for my son. I've already got a pair of Mission 717 speakers from Freecycle that I've refurbished so am now looking for an amp, working or not, to give him something to plug his iPod into to get him going.

Must be cheap - a newspaper round doesn't pay him a bundle, or I'll swap something for it

I used to have a Cyrus 1. Very nice little amp, but a bit too 'crisp' sounding for my taste. I think it got toasted after one too many parties with 1 amp mains fuses in it and a fan on top. Shame really, I feel quite bad about that.

Is it an A60 by any chance? Have a look on the label, if it says AMc on it, I probably calibrated it
