So do I. I think the word Vectra will feature heavily.

My understanding on 9-3s (and most modern Saabs) is that they are comfy, well built and reasonably quick, but that they aren't much cop to drive. I think you'd need to test drive one to see if you liked it.

Build quality is a bit "oh holy cr*p... is that a staple?!"

        Really shocking to be honest.

Felt nice to be a passenger though..

Build quality could have something to do with the fact that Saab haven't made a profit since 2001 and GM are desperate to sell them

There are three things to look out for on any Saab
1.Service history 2.Service history and 3.Service history. Also make sure the services were at a Saab main dealer or Saab specialist.Other than that take it for a good test drive and go by your feelings. There are some good bargins out there at none Saab franchised dealers . If you see one on the forcourt of a Ford main dealer for instance.

It's a nice little car, not a lot of room in them really - less than a 3 series BMW, but good enough for the money....but it is a Vectra, but you can do a lot worse - the build quality is OK - goes OK, good fuel figures - have a look on www.honestjohn.co.uk see what there is to know about them..

I have just been to have a look at a 51 plate 9-3 with 120000 on the clock, Service history up to 92000. It looked pretty clean apart from a small rust bubble on the rear arches. It drove fine with no rattles or knocks, but when idling with aircon on it was rough.

It is on the forcourt for £1500 I got him down to £900 plus my rover coupe but that would be as it stands with only 1 months mot.
                          Do I take the chance?
