right to be fair on you and your friend, i would say £200 labour charge, if your mate can do it for that and hes happy and the job goes well, all well and good

i got quoted the same from a local garage near me so £200 just for the fitting i thought was a good price

the other local garage i use quoted me £300 or just over to only fit the head

just took me head off replaced all the valves ect new cam belt and up and running in 6 hours

nice --did you lap the valves in, and shim ex and inlets, what tolerances did you use?
