Simple question... What is ecd? Tried searching and couldn't find it.

Nope, ECD, it's the back left fuse under the bonnet, 1993 2nd gen. Just went to check in case I'm making a fool of myself, it's def. ECD.

Some talk if you search the forum about the ECD relay, but since I don't know what ECD is that's not much help...

Electronicly controlled transmition I think .Its like a sport mode for the gearbox. Your engine will rev higher before changing gear when pressed.

It's for the ECU. Without the fuse or relay, fault codes won't be stored..

Not really, but the ECU will re-set itself every time you start the engine.
