autobox sounds a lot different to the toyota supra box, when you put your foot down theres a noise, not a whine, its a constant sounds, as though theres a fan starting up. doesn,t go up and down in pitch, just as though you switch a fan on and thats it, might well be nothing but i thought i would ask.
oh went to change the brake/sidelight bulb as the brake light part has gone on one side, those are strange bulbs, i take it they are readily available.
also no jack, what weight does the jack need to take and what type goes with the surf

If you are stuck for a jack holler, I have a hydraulic bottle jack I don't use (it was fine for Hippo) yours for £10 + P&P

The viscous fan at the front of the engine makes a hell of a roar when you put your foot down, but I presume you mean something that sounds a bit more 'sophisticated'. ATF pump maybe????

maybe its the fan. if you have a desk top fan and switch it on the sound is like the fan coming up to speed and staying there, like i say this model is new to me may be i am just listening for something thats not there, and comparing to the supra, it all works ok anyway.
