i sat in a Harrier twice .To me one of the iconic fighters that this country has built ....once at the royal tournament (aged 12 )
the second time at Dunsfold where they built and tested them, being instructed how to make the ejector seat safe (about 1990, Local retained fire station )

You just got me thinking about farnborough air show, was thinking of going this year but just looked & its not on till next year.
Does it make you want to move out there even more now.
No Si,
N.Z. or AUS is the place, Wish I was a lot younger, I'd be there in a flash,
Keep telling my 23 yr old son get out there now, he's a qual'd vehicle
tech, (not a mechanic). If only MY dad had taken the £10.00 family
emigration ticket 45 years ago I would not be here in this sh*t 'ole of a country today.

Dunsfold used to have a air day for the locals , Watching the Harrier dance was amazing , it would bow , tilt ,wobble, reverse and the it would point strait up and do a 360 arount it's axis then assend .................
It's a pity the test pilot ( Taylor Scott )died above the plain where i now live and his Harrier ditched th the atlantic.
