Pah, Golf, rambling, soul searching... the Place has gone mad! Look, its Friday, you lot have got the weekend to sort yourselves out. Tonight, go get slaughtered, then spend Saturday morning making something. About lunchtime give up cos its never going to work, and smash it into a thousand pieces. Get slaughtered. Sunday either go (via a muddy track) and see your mum for Sunday lunch, or got to pub for Sunday lunch. (Don't give me any rubbish about Calories either) Have an after noon nap, then report back here Sunday night. I want to see bolshiness, arse scratching, and link to unfeasibly expensive stuff on Ebay. In summary, Man the #### up!
(the only reason for navel gazing is to see how much fluff has gathered there.)it's in me shed, mate.

Have you actually worked out the cost of a trip to the Sahara? I’m not sure how long it would take to travel through France, Spain and across to Morocco, but I do know that travel & accommodation costs around North Africa are quite reasonable. Morocco is a good starting point as you have the Western Sahara, which is easy going and then the real Sahara. I flew into Morocco and hired a vehicle and did 5,500 miles in two weeks.
I have not had even a day’s holiday for over two years (Staff shortage) but I’d like to get back out to Africa and get in some real off-roading again.
I know that we are in a recession, but it is sad to see just how negative people are around here.
I have had health issues and money problems over the last few years, but things are now going really well... had a good pay rise last year with back-pay and by this autumn I will have paid off the last of my debts and will not owe anyone a single penny.Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

Apache, when were you thinking of doing the Sahara trip? It sounds quite interesting. Have you worked out any costs. I have been made redundant but I will still keep the truck as I need to pull the caravan.
I owe nothing on the truck and it still has a low mileage on it. We would not mind doing a Sahara trip if we had the cash lying about but then I suppose we could always get someone to sponsor us. We could then write a novel about towing a caravan across the Sahara. Hmm, wonder how much a/c would cost for the caravan? Probably be at the Nags Head this evening for a pint or three!

Being serious for a minute..
The XK8 is a stunning car!! Full Leather, Wooden dash, Plenty of power!!
It's going to make a bl**dy lovly change to owning a surf an its not exactly expensive to get a stock 3.0ltr when the time comes.
I can appreicate getting a 2nd car might be awkward, From the pictures ive seen outside your house.
Treat yourself! Get a bit of luxury sports car in your system an see how you feel afterwards!
Its not the end of the world.
