exactamundo. forget it and keep looking. if a seller can't be straight right from the off and have the motor ready to sell - then walk. it's not like he's advertised it with the acceptable dealer/seller line of "will be given 12month ticket at end of auction" which is one thing. he's asking you to pay what he considers enough to make it worth his while - which is his prerogative, fine. but don't be that mug that gives the seller what he wants. plenty of bargains out there. wait for one thats all singing and dancing without all these provisos.

I looked for 2 months or so before i found the right one, i must have viewed about a dozen but it all worked out in the end as i got the right surf at the right price.

yep i was exactly the same,once i had the cash,had to have one that weekend,fortunately i found one that hadnt sold on ebay cause of high start,blagged a viewing,wafted used 50's under his nose,got 500 off his start price
