Simple answer. Knowing that there is one thing you can look at and know that it is untainted by the sloppiness and imperfection that 99.9% of people seem to think is acceptable.

Maybe that's an indication that, well, it's acceptable?

Just because 99.9% of society says that something is the 'norm' does not mean that it is correct. Most people do have a rather annoying sheep type nature. That does not mean all people are sheep.

I'm beginning to wonder if you use 100% distilled water in one bucket with a mix of 50% hot and 50% distilled water in the other, obviously with grit protectors, when you pre-wash your car too?

I wouldn't mind using a big greasy old fly swat with a nice sideways swipe to get as many as possible of those flies on the roof with a single shot:

It'd be doing him a favour, right?

                      2. The solution was dabbed unenthusiastically against the car until everything was nice and foamy

                      3. The filthy liquid in the bucket was tossed over the top of the car

                      4. The residue was washed off using the hose

                      5. The dog was sprayed using the hose

                      6. The sponge was placed in the bucket, which was left in the garden

                      7. The hose was left connected to the tap and piled up quite near it

                      8. A cup of tea was consumed.

                      Way too much agro...

                      1) Drive in mud.

                      2) Drive in water.

I assume he is not on a water meter then . If I saw some knob covering a car in 'snow' I would think he had used to much fairy liquid in his bucket .
Complete sado , I'm off to count my pubic hair collection .

The missus will NEVER ask you twice to do the washing up
