Since we're in the mood for bashing ebayers' descriptions just now, it amazes me just how little effort some people put into listings:

    good cond,drives well.smokes on tick over but not when driving,has been stood 4 a wile,,ex work horse,tel *********** for info,,thanks
Are a few descriptive sentences, the occasional capital and one or two correct bits of punctuation too much to ask for? Seriously, how long would you work for £1000? 100 hours at £10/hour sound like a good deal? That's three weeks of reasonably paid casual work, and he'll probably lose that much, or close to it, by only spending 20 seconds on this instead of an hour or two.

I sold my old car on ebay and got near instant response from many buyers. An identical car sat without a bid on it, at £0, till the end of the auction. His description was very like this one.

i agree. i looked at that one but because there was very little info or detail / history or even a few pics, it wasn,t worth a second look. if the seller can,t be bothered then perhaps thats how he looks after his vehicles as well...

If your looking for a 2nd gen and that goes for near what its at you would be daft not to buy it.

I know the arse has fell out the 4x4 market but thats still a good price. If it was within a 100mile of me I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

if i was going to buy that truck for that money then i would give it a good check over once i got it home and if it wasn't worth selling on again then it would be sold as parts.

Has a rear spoiler too, by the looks of it. Tidy looking vehicle, from what you can see.

Aye, that would be sweet. If I had the money and it was closer, that would be being bid upon, methinks.

Its like the black 3.0l Danno bought from me last year.I paid £500 for it and i never even looked at it.Wolf had it at his place for me ready for me to collect and Danno went and had a look at it.He had a pre mot on it and all it needed was a fog light and arb bush and he was happy with it.It goes to show that you can buy a cheap bargain and sell it on again for a good profit or even keep it and it can only cost a few quid to put right.

I thought the 4x4 market was bad up here, looks like it's just as bad down south. A very nice bargain for someone, hope it's a member of the forum.
