Why can't I log out?

Trying to log out as normal,(cookies cleared blah blah blah) and nothing happens I'm still logged in. been in for days now, (Oh er) or does it matter?

As soon as you hit the red cross you log out automatically, dont you.
If not then ive been logged on since july.

Nope. You're not logged in when your PC is off or your browser closed. I rarely log off.
