What else can you get (in terms of family entertainment) for that
I know it's a lot more expensive than it used to be, but so is everything else.
I wouldn't regard Ł30 as a lot for a premiership club, you'll probably pay that for some of the bigger championship clubs!
I know times are hard but try to find the money, give the boy his punishment,
sorry i mean treat, and have a great day out!

PS just looked at wigan's website,Ł21.50 adult ticket,Ł16.50 junior, and thats for a home game against Fulham!!!!!!www.amcbs.webeden.co.uk www.xjrestorations.co.uk

mention football and they all crawl out of the circuit boards, the poor lads who hate it because nobody wanted them in their team at school, the rugby boys, who play a game that can only be described as homoerotic, ( all that mn to man contact) and the rabid fans who foam at the mouth at the mention of anyone elses team.

And you can say what you like about football but it's the closest thing i have ever felt to religion ( Maybe i'll explain that better when i have more time)

Over the years I have come into contact and made friends with a good number of people through my work and interest in:
Snakes, Crocks & Gators
Spiders & Scorpions
Marine life
Falconry
Primates
Wildlife TV/Film making
Photography
Travel
Rock climbing
Motorbikes
Cycling
Cars
Shooting Sports
Archery
Bush craft
Knife making / collecting
Militaria
Etc. etc.
And do you know what virtually every one of these people share in common? They all dislike Football.
They used to say that “religion is the opium of the people” but it is clear that football has taken over from religion for many people. Some people feel the need to be part of a team and are driven by a mob mentality..... I for one have always been far more comfortable to stick out as the odd individual who does not follow the crowd.
At School I always purposely forgot my PE kit unless it was cross-country running, archery, javelin or discus. While the other lads where out in the rain and cold kicking a ball around I was “punished” by having to sit on a bench in the sports hall while the girls had circuit training or trampoline lessons... just loved watching my girlfriend and her mates bouncing up and downMine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

I have never understood the attraction of football, especially when so many people’s lives seem to revolve around the game.
If “normal” is going to rowdy matches, and getting pi55ed afterwards then I’m very glad that I’m not normalMine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

Anyway, it seems you like solitary pursuits whilst I am more into the team/social thing. Neither is right or wrong, just different.
You should try being 'normal' though, it's fun.

as for the need to be driven by a mob mentality? thats an unnecessary and narrow minded statement in relation to the majority of football fans, bollox. are you saying that people who go 50,000 strong to concerts are following the music for the 'mob mentality'.
you must have something resembling intelligence, so use it man!Last edited by logey79; 29 January 2009, 18:45.i swear, it was like that when i got here...
