Who would have expected a religious man to overreact about something. ahem.
Anyway I was at the pub with God the other day and he said he 'loved those damn buses, they make me smite myself'
He was quite drunk though, he's teetotal but Jesus had been up to his tricks again

im sorry paul but i must take some minor offence at this
"I think it was the starkness of this advert which implied there was no God."
So its OK for him to imply there IS a god, and no-one is to argue with him!! What about freedom of speech / thought?? ######!
So... does this mean if I am a bus driver, and there is an advert stating 'Carling is probably the best lager in the world', and I dont agree, I can refuse to drive that bus?

ive met god

That explains the odd sense of humour God has....
(If they has said the is probably no Allah(PBUH) then there would be burning buses all over the country...)

he's putting the fun !! (or possibly mental) into fundemantalist)
that reminds me, I used to work for a mental health charity and we were looking at other charities who had 'sponsor a child' and 'sponsor a dog' etc. fundraising products.
someone suggested we did one called 'fundamentalist'

Exactly. Werent these buses in response to very very stark and threatenting pro-godbotherybiblebashingfireandb rimstone signs on other buses? Which I'm sure he was fine with.
quote:
...London buses with the question: "When the son of man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8). It seems you wait ages for a bus with an unsettling Bible quote, then two come along at once.
The errant capital letters weren't the only disturbing thing about this (Faith Hill or Faith Evans?). There was also a web address on the ad, and when I visited the site, hoping for a straight answer to their rather pressing question, I received the following warning for anyone who doesn't "accept the word of Jesus on the cross": "You will be condemned to everlasting separation from God and then you spend all eternity in torment in hell. Jesus spoke about this as a lake of fire which was prepared for the devil and all his angels (demonic spirits)" (Matthew 25:41). Lots to look forward to, then.

....lake of fire.........so Toby's fireproof snorkel will come in handy then....
