  • Hilux pickup 4wd standard tyre size?

Can someone please tell me the factory standard tyre profile from a mk4 hilux 4wd?

I've googled for hours, nothing in my user guides and nothing on past receipts

On the tyres it just has 205/r16 - but I'm looking for prices and I need the profile size for web quotes

And BTW are Hankook tyres any good?

    Cheers

      Hankook are good mate.

      I think 205r16 is a size...

      check www.camskill.com

Its one of the few strange measurements.

Best ask on www.elite4x4.co.uk as it has a few members with Mk.4 pickups.

        205 r 16 = 205/80 r 16 = 29x8x16

(80 being an old standard ratio for tyres apparently, so normally on an 80 profile tyre the 80 is left out, and unless otherwise specified you can assume the tyres an 80 profile)

however, i believe if it was an imperial size ie) 7.50x16 it would be assumed to be 100% profile, so a 7.50x16 (standard landy size) is equavalent to a 31" x 7.50" x 16 could be wrong on that again.

(...Wheres woderwick when you need him?)

        edit:
        /\ /\ /\ There he is /\ /\ /\

are you saying you don't know a tyre answer Rod?

          i guess i am!!

          I didn't know the '80' rule.

Now that i know the rule of '80'... my knowledge is complete... An i have become more powerful then you can possibly imagine!!
