In defence of old windy guts,

I have always understood it that you have to have all cleared away by the 6th (12th night) or a fate worse than death will happen

And yes mine are all cleared up too

That's what my dear departed Mum told me too - if they're up after 12th night you're deep in it but OK if they come down earlier .....
