My only concession to winter is a long sleeved T shirt, don't own a coat or jacket (other than my bike gear and a couple of fleeces from work).

Was out last Saturday, round the bridges. Had a pint at the Hawes Inn, outside of course.

Cold doesn't bother me on the bike, don't like the rain though, no fun when it's raining.

My wee brother was on a rig somewhere off China's coast earlier this year, they reckon you could walk out to it sometimes during the winter.

And I know it's Russian, but he goes through China to get to the rig he was on.

Next big run is the Easter Egg Run in Glasgow, not a huge distance, but over 10,000 bikes at it...

The main run is police escorted and marshaled, it's a fantastic day out. Raise money for and donate eggs to Yorkhill Children's Hopital, dozens of other charities and hundreds of underpriviledged kids get eggs too.

The police are very tolerant, they aren't petty, but do take notes and visit some people after the event!
