I knew a diesel genny might throw a spanner in the works . All I can suggest is a bit of stealth work . Hide the petrol jobby out of sight and just run it until anyone noticies , if they do . Then if they complain just play innocent and appoligise . When they have gone start it up again .
I think it is just a saftey thing . The silly thing is it is a massive site full of petrol and diesel vehicles , so if anything was to catch fire it could be spoilt for choice to say what it would be .
I will look into this abit further as I need to sort this one out for other stand .

Here is the mast bracket that i use with a tape measure to give an idea of size....the mast will need tieing for support but nothing to serious.....Attached FilesIm not a gynacologist but ill have a lookComment

If we chip in I can get a deisel gennie from my friendly local hire centre. I get 25% discount. Shouldnt be more than £40-£50 for a weekend hire between all of usI NEED TO OFFROAD!Comment

i'll pop along, it's not too far from me.... i could get my hands on 12v tv + video but only a small screen... also 12v cool boxes and stuff like that.nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!Comment

Couple of boards should be good, just need everyone thats coming to print of a few of thier good pics to put up on the boards.

official response to genny
Here is the official answer from the organisers regarding generator .
If you wish to power any equipment on site for your club/private stand the power sourse must be diesel powered . Under no circumstances will a petrol powered genorator be allowed on site .
Last year someone had one and the show was nearly cancelled for this year .
A meeting between the Health and Saftey and show officails had to be arranged to ensure this did not happen again .
So basically it looks grim on the video side of things unless :
will a 12v invertor run a video/dvd player and telly
if so how long will it run
Anyone got any ideas on this one

Right I am borrowing the genny from work, its 12' high 20' long and weighs 20 tonnes, chucks out enough juice to supply about 30 or so houses. Inverters are current hungry and not very efficent
But the offer still stands my genie is idle most of the year so its available..
Plus the use of the mastIm not a gynacologist but ill have a lookComment

Ok so no genny but my dvd and TV will run of a car battery or cigar lighter so just run the surf and plug it in (that asuming my dvd will play burnt disc's cos I aint tried it yet,plays matrix revoloutions ok though).If the puddles to deep..LEARN TO SCUBA.Comment
