if some one put my car in 4wd while moveing possiabley at speed
what damage would it do?
how would it sound after it was broken?
i have some problems with my surf big time problems
well over a grand of damage again to my box i think
and before any one give me IOTW award it was not me thats done this
the whole story
mounths ago my yoke was broken (it flicks an auto into 4wd)
the last time i used my 4wd i had to hold the wires together on the yoke so it would come out of 4wd
then the whole yoke broke
so i had a new one fitted
but i still had no 4wd?
i did have ATF all over my gearbox?
so i washed it all off and its been fine no ATF leaks or anything
now some of ya will remember me going on about my vacuum hoses being missing and wrong
well i found a thread on this forum of a guy putting autobox in place of a manual box
nice pics too
found a pitcure on there witch clearly showed the hoses to the auto gearbox
so with that picture i replaced my hoses all to the right place
them hoses have been in the wrong place since i got it back? why was they moved
now they are all in the right places
and still no 4wd?
it must be the switch i thought
so off i go in 2wd to go and see if i can get it tested
but i never made it
my gear box is noking its nust off
sounds like something running dry or rubbing
and i can see atf dipping very slightly
but the facts are
my gear box had just been reconned
it worked before the new yoke
it came back with the hoses swoped around
and it was coved in atf but no leek
so in theory the 4wd should have worked after that new yoke
no one drives my car expect me its my pride and joy
the guy who fixes my car is a proper (cant spell it dude) macanic
and rents off us a unit to work from
all under cctv
my father checks the cctv on a daily bases he says that day andy put in my new york in
he went out for parts for a diffrent car mine was dont
my father also said
has soon has andy got off the yard
his 2 kidds (16 and 18) were in your car spinning it up and down the yard
i have kept this to my self untill now i dont want to say anything just yet untill iam fully sure whos to blame coz its them that will pay
