It was a bit of a pain mate although i am a kitchen fitter so i have all the tools to hand.
Its a bit hard to go through it step by step cos i altered it about 3 times to get it to fit nice & snug, but basically its just 2 frames, the rear one is fixed & does'nt move although it can be removed with a screw driver, I did have to drill into the side of the boot for that. The front section is fully removable though. All it is is two frames made from 1/2"x 1" wood & 6mm ply over the top then covered with carpet tiles, i did use a bit of overkill on it though, it can actually hold the weight of a german sheppard as i found out the other day when it jumped in & decided to have a kipp on it.
My seats still drop down so anything long will go in. I mean it does'nt have to be as tough as mine is but the more rigid you make it the less it will rattle about "i hate any rattles or creeks" does my head in.
