to anyone in London

Hi all.I am just trying to arrange somewhere to stay and also a lift to the House of Parliament in the new year.
As some of you know my dad has Pancreatic cancer and not a great time left, he has always wanted to have a tour of the HoP.
I am going to be looking for somewhere to stay for 2 nights and transport to/fro the houses of parliament.Nothing may come of it yet as it depends on if dad is up to travelling in the new year.We may fly up to Gatwick but will need to find somewhere to stay so he don't have to travel to far once we're in London.
If anyone has any ideas then if you can let me know as i want to plan it as a surprise for him.Our local Lib Dem MP who is a long term friend of dads is organising the tour a tea for us at the HoP
If anyone can help me out i will be greatfull and any fuel cost etc i will pay for so no-one will be out of pocket.

If you only want room only, try booking a travelodge now, as you can get cheap rates and as for lifts i'm only 30 mins away and would be happy to help.

I'm in West London, Acton, so no problem transporting you about. What dates are you thinking about as that would help to see room prices. I assume twin would be OK.

I'm not of the dates yet Philip as it is going to depend on how my dad feels at the time but i should know a week beforehand tho.I know its not alot of time but there's not much i can arrange at the moment apart from just finding somewhere close by and transport to and fro Gatwick airport
It will probably be sometime in February we come up

There's not much that'll be cheap though.

If you get stuck, you're welcome to stay at my place in North London. It's a 2 bed and I can stay at my girlfriend's around the corner. I can probably get hold of a nice car and give you a lift down there, or the tube's not too far from my place. Only problem is I have to work, so we'd have to work around that if you needed me to drive.

I can certainly get you from Gatwick if it's outside work hours.
