Any recommendations please? Yep, I read the sticky in the FAQ, but there's nothing like word of mouth.

    Cheers

Most go for Adrian Flux if you've got modifications or want to go off road. Lifesure are OK if you want to stay on the road. Try Tesco too.

I was with Elephant on my Mondeo.

Just changed to the Surf, they had my model of import Surf on their computer and for an extra £30 a year insured it fully comp.

....although I will shop around come changing time, as this takes it to £280 fully comp (with a few points and one no-fault claim).

i can not get cheap insurance
i had a quote of 325 quid the lowest i have ever had
went to pay some off it and the rest out my bank
                it went up 250 quid
why ? no one seemed to know
still a lot cheaper than i have been paying but why bump it up by 250 quid

I'd vote Flux too. A few quid cheaper than Budget who I was with, and cover me for laning / offroading, and offroading in France next year!

Covered all the mods for free too!

Has anyone found any huge increases in insurance due to the fitment of a mod?

....like fitting a winch, or making a 2" lift?

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I've shopped around and the best deal for me is from Lifesure on 0871 726 1235.

Bl00dy annoying how many companies say that they insure imports then can't find the car once you've gone through the rigmarole of giving all your details!
