  • Door mirror

    Hi all,

well, had my most excellent 3rd gen surf for a couple of days now.

Drove to work for the first time today and had a ###### in a van smash my door mirror.....long country lane, lots of traffic, he didn't stop...50/50 etc, etc.

I think I know of a local breaker who has been known to have a couple of surfs...can anyone give me some advice on:

...rough cost estimate for a mirror for a 3rd gen....just the glass, the housing is fine..

..rough cost for a wind deflector thingy..(the mirror smashed into that)

..how easy is the mirror to fit....will it just pop off, or does it need unscrewing from anywhere?

    Thanks for your help.

Hehe, I got a Rangie mirror in return.

I'd actually stopped but he kept coming in his Rangie Sport, faster than he probably should have done given the road conditions. My door mirror folded back, bits his are still on the country lane as he didn't stop.

    Tough them Surf mirrors!

Hmm, yeah, I had virtually stopped, but this van was obviously in a hurry.

Haha, thanks mate....have just spent my lunch looking through the website..

...they are only cheap enough if you don't look through the rest of the site and make a shopping list of goodies

I just wonder how many I will go through trying to fit them...I have a heat gun, but can be a little heavy handed at times
