lol, had to double check the spelling a couple of times to get it right, was gonna spell it a few different ways...
Couple of silly questions.
1. How hard is it to do the v8 conversion truthfully (i have every tool imaginable if that helps)
2. whats the rough cost nowdays for the engine and trans plus anyother components needed to adapt the engine so that it fits
although myself, i only know so much about mechinic's, but have a freind who's very mechaincally minded and can fit just about anything anywhere, he sed with the right guidance he could probally do it

It wasn't that hard really, but took a lot of planning/thinking/measuring/time & patience.
Obviously because it had rarely been done to a Surf before so I had to 'feel' my way.
When I come to do it all over again it will be a piece of cake in comparison.
Re: costs involved, well I reckon I've spent about $1200 quid, $630 was for the LS400.
I got $200 for the 2.4 engine, $80 for the transmission, and about $150 for various other parts from the Lexus that I sold.
The only thing I got professionally made was a hydraulic line for the power steering, done everything else myself.
So a drive-in drive-out conversion expect to hand over around $2800ish.
