'Plans' by the govt to make the unemployed work for benefits (as they do in a lot of the rest of the civilised world) rather than just holding out their hands.

On the news now. Apparently, their is a 'hardening of opinion' by the tax payer about how easy it is to get benefits in this country when you are actually fit for work, but just too bleedin lazy.

However, youll find that the current system already has this policy in place. The next step for many "long term" unemployed is to feign an injury, thereby also being eligable for disabiity benefits. This also gets them off the hook for seeink gainful employment.
The benefit system is so ingrained within the culture here, its im afraid too late to make any meaningful changes.

I think you will find it says they have to prepare to work, at least give it some thought, not actually do anything sordid like interviews and such like. Benefit scroungers are key voters for this shower, and the wont do anything to upset them. (this has no bearing whatsoever on anyone who is actually supposed to be receiving benefits. I am only referring to the wasters.)

There would have to be special breeding program for them, "Emergency serfs, break glass in the event of an emergency" you would need to breed with the tame ones only, and when the work is done

I think, because it comes from our taxes we have a right to know who's claiming what and what for then we can keep an eye on our neighbours and report it if being abused. If they're constantly watched or think they're being watched wouldn't it put them off?? In the meantime I know the authorities encourage whistle blowers, but my big question is how do you know if they are scamming. Bush and I are home alot (work is sporadic) and look 'moderately healthy..not wealthy' from appearances but that's not because we're claiming, we just got our shit together cos we're smart lol.
