Well then a decision has been made...

The surf will go into surgery for a few months....
I am going to buy a little run about/ 4x4 something that does a lot to the gallon and my dearest Surf will go into the garage...

The engine is fine and I have another crank shaft pulley for it....
The smoke has been sorted by turning the fuel pump down a little so this superb engine and manual box will be up for sale soon...
After I paid Koi....

List of mods I am going to do on my dear surf....

Sus lift..
5.7ltr 383 or 350 engine and 3 speed auto box..
bigger wheels and tires.
stainless exhaust.
snorkel..
roll cage.
interior..
back break disk conversion..
re-spray in dark purple (nearly black)

that is it I think for now we will see what else I come up with while she is in bits....

I will keep a log of the progress when I have started....

U will/ might come in with some of them.... depending on how much time I have...
I am using my mates garage who is local to me + there is the added benefit of having a proper mechanic on hand.... ....

It will probably take me till about July or something but it will be worth it..

I am looking at a vitara at the moment to use until she is finished....

not got the engine yet but I have spoken to a factory in the USA and they can ship a crated engine..... new....

But before I go that more expensive route I am keeping an eye on ebay first...

Saw some LS7 engines for about 3.5k but I thought that was too expensive given all the work needed to get it in the surf so I'm hoping to find a Lexus 4.8V8 from a scrapper to drop in and get a gas conversion done but thats all wayyyyyy in the future!

Failry priced that like, nice little chunky wheels and tyres on it, i quite like them, one of the lads use to have one to off road a couple years back (the 1600), him an all his mates bought it for like a hundred quid or sumthin with no tax or test, and they use to TEAR the arse out of it every sunday, didnt half give it sum stick, and it never seemed to break ... An you Look at the little SJs and samuri's now they are begining to get a massive following, they must be doin sumthin right,,,
