pc problem

hi all bought a new pc a couple of weeks ago (acer aspire m1640) great pc but it keeps going to sleep poss 4-6 times per eve have to press ctrl+alt+delete then click on cancel and all is well tis gettin on me nerves can some one help

go into control panel,then power settings and there u can adjust wot it does and for how long,ie not goto sleep after 2 mins

think i used the wrong term i ment it freezes still have a picture music just cant click on anything

are you doing too much for the memory??

betting you're running vista and it came with a "massive" 512mb Ram!!

ok press "ctrl" and "alt" and "delete" at same time for a sec,then a box should appear on the top click processes.then u see a list of progs running,top of list is taking priority,anything u dont recognise?also click performance at top,that will show u wots going on

no on vistayou get lock this comp-switch user-log off-change password-start task manager and cancel

select task manager... that should show the running programs

vista is different.
Must say the problem is because its an Acer.
Best thing to do is to take it back if its only a few weeks old.
