Anyone know if there is a difference between a manual dash and an auto one as fitted in 2nd gens ?

no none, if you dont consider the centre console

Thanks . I got someone who wants a set of dash clocks for his Surf . His is manual , and I got a set out of an auto for sale .

I think the manual gearbox has a cable driven speedo. Late 1991 > auto Surfs are electronic. (Pin at zero for the needle to rest on, no pin = cable driven)
