Bl00dy starter motor is playing up! Changed the contacts a few years ago, but it looks like I'll have to do it again shortly.

Because we live in the UK and the weather is always crap.

Have you tried hitting it with a hammer? Used to work on my sister's Renault 11.

If the original contacts took 14 years to burn away, how come the new ones have gone already?

mines been playing up for a few weeks now so i'm gonna try and fit the one from the white breaker this weekend if it's working ok

I suspect its had a tougher life, spending substantially longer under water than the it did in Japan.

And when I did it, I only replaced the body contacts, not the plunger (not in stock) so just spun it in a drill and cleaned it up.
