scraps gone up a bit ,think he said £40 a ton

I got £50 for most of an old Clio about a month ago. They even picked it up.

its gone down again now we scrapped 11 cars on thurs got 22 quid a tonne

be lucky to get £20 a ton some places are down to £19 a ton

Been told they have dropped cost of steel to lower the theft rate . Coppers sit outside some of the scrap yards round here and inspect the scrap before it goes in . Pikeys have been nicking anything metal round here for a while .But since the price drop it has lightened off .

Hi mate - just spoke to him an he says the rate is currently £40 per ton, you would have to empty all fluids an remove wheels an tyres there.

He said keep hold of it till after xmas if you can as it goes back up in Jan.
