Why do people advertise a mucky car, it probably scrubs up really well.

Thanks breakdowntruck - you got to know I have looked at every truck on ebay at least once a day, same with ad-trader. That first one looks a bit strange, mybe just the wee tyres and lack of side panels, but looks a minimum spec version to me.

Second one is a dead mans car, edging toward higher mileage, no MOT or tax, and opposite end of the country from me (Edinburgh).

Here's one I was looking at at the weekend http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=280286266722 but I had a feeling it would get close to 4 grand, and it did, in a crazy bidding war.

Most 1996 Surf I look at on eBay top out their bids at £2600 or so, and don't reach their reserve!

There is a black one in Ad Trader that I almost got today, but the seller had me and another bloke on it, and the other bloke has first dibs if he turns up tomorrow.

Guess it is just hard getting hands on one of these things up here in Edinburgh when most are for sale down south.
