  • inverter to power drill?

I have a reasonably cheap (£25 form Halfrauds) inverter that plugs into the cigar lighter.
Would I be able to run a drill off this if I had the engine running?
Want to use a drill pump to pump some oil.

do you reckon it'll cope with this or not?

First your inverter should have a power rating displayed on it in watts as should your drill, if the latter is lower than the former then all is well.
Second what I used was a cheap 12v cordless drill with the battery removed wired to the truck battery.
However I found that the drill pump was next to fcuking useless

      Follow up:
Just got one of these and its amazing. Empties 30litres of oil out of a cubie in about a minute!

Be interesting to see how long it lasts but its only£13 and comes with spares so cant go wwrong really. so much easier than using a rotary pump
