Got the ES9000's on mine and they give a good ride, personal opinion only of course, when i was looking around for my dampers i was advised to go for these from the peeps on this forum.
Cheers Ian, yup they sound better, make a note of them, and i was'nt sure about the gaiters, thought that might be the case tho, look nice when there new but the cr@p they'll hold, wont bother with them then, thanks
Thought about rancho's, bilstiens or other brands?
Rancho's offer a air adjustable version which is great for when you want the shock to be hard on the road or when towing heavy loads. They then can be made soft when you hit the dirt. All from the comfort of the cab
Bilstiens are well built and last a very long time (even though they look OME or Monroe shocks) they offer really good road handling with reasonable offroad capabilities
Avoid the old man emu brand i had them on my hilux ute and found the springs and shocks to be a completely shi%. Along with most of my mates. Your just paying for the ARB name.
Remember the surfs weakness can be its independent front end so make sure you match the springs or torsion bars ( depending on your model ) to the shocks you want. Matched springs and shocks allways work best
What suspension systems do you guys run over in the UK

Hi Matt, not sure how Bilstiens go here price wise which is my main problem, i wont be doing too much off road, hope fully some laneing and the srtts next year so it's mainly road, i'm going mainly on reccomendation of guys on here regarding our preferred supplyer (roughtrax) their ES9000's are £35 + shipping
+ vat (bstds) so i might just be able to run to them, this is all due to fitting 33's and 2" ball joint spacers, (torsion bars are original) along with a 2" body lift giveing me 4" total lift, just wanted to do the +2" front shocks while i have it all in bits,
