  • insurance nightmare

    Hi all,
I am finding it well hard to get insured at the moment, the cheapest as of yet £1460 from NFU, aahhhhh.
It really pi^ses me off that a surf is counted as an import but is exactly the same as a 4runner, apart from chrome bumpers on a surf, I think anyway!!!

So is there anyone on here who is 22 (or under 25), has an import and mods who is insured for under £1000?
    Please help

Try Sureterm. A company based in Huntingdon Cambs. They specialise in 4x4's with younger drivers. I'm older and thought their quote was high. Eventually went with NFU. Got a good deal for Fully Comp and a years RAC get you home roadside assistance. Also covered for green-laning which could be useful. Good luck!
                That'll fit!

Whats the situation with greenlaning. Shouldnt all policies cover greenlaning as they are roads?

Green laning is covered as it is still public highway provided there is no time trial/competition involved and your mods (such as the 10 foot snorkel lol) are declared and agreed by the insurer.

It's all ok declaring the mods tho but you don't replace them if anything happens to the truck, you'll only get standard parts/truck back .
At least with Adrian Flux i am covered old for new and off road use

I just went with Flux too. Jumped ship from Budget as they'd just put my price up! Back down below £400 again with protected no claims and fully comp.

They dont charge any extra for non-engine mods either, and cover you for laning and offroading, and travel abroad.
