Hi' new to the forum and have just bought my 1st Surf!!

1990 (H) LN130 2.4 TD
Burgundy over grey
Chrome alloys with 31's

and ...unfortunately the RED interior!!

Wanted one since 2000 when I drove a de-restricted 3lt TD as an Police Escort vehicle whilst serving in Macedonia and Kosovo!

Already picked up a few pointers and advice, maybe I'll get to contribute something useful in the fullness of time....just don't hold your collective breath waiting for it.

If you see me round and about Stevenage give me a wave, not promising I'll wave back mind..depends who's looking!

KOI' I only visit Stevenage, I live and work in Henlow but I'll keep an eye out for you!

To be honest the interior's not that bad now the seat covers are on..I think I'm going to enjoy owning the Surf..if it passes the MOT tomorrow morning!

In the last 18 mths it's had the head done
Rear window sorted
4 x shocks
rear springs
radiator
recon turbo
tyres

and today it had a new steering idler and back box and pipe!

Next job is the 65 bell!

Altho most of my interior is now converted to grey...
Not finished yet but getting there....

Mine has the bell too tho and I have found a cheap and easy solution....

Bigger and louder speakers and then just turn the radio till about 22...
Can't hear the bell anymore....

Well, she sailed through the MOT this morning!

Got my insurance quote for £252 from the link on here..(don't know if thats goo, bad or indifferent?)

Found out I already know a member here from a completely unrelated forum!

Now looking forward to enjoying being amongst the ranks of the real 4x4 owners!
