      Punctuate, capitalise and spell correctly...

You should always expect the unexpectesd, especially from me!

By the way, you need to capitalise and punctuate better too. On the up side, your spelling is OK this time

His space bar doesn't seem to work after commas either.

Can almost forgive that as my 's' is a bit dodgy at times! As can be seen in your quote.

Maybe it felt more comfortable in 'unexpected' .

                Anyway, back on topic..........
Loose or dirty connections on transfer case? Need more information than just flickering dash light.
Any noises? jerky movements in the drivetrain?

I did wonder where it went!

And on topic; Is the light flickering randomly, or flashing rhythmically?

First thing to check is the push button switch on the side of the transfer lever. It may be dirty and be intermittently making contact. Just prise it out with a tiny screwdriver or similar and check operation. You should be able to see an orange line around the button when it's in the 'off' position, i.e. button out.
