  • CB Channel

    Hi

Do other members think it would be a good idea to have a club channel?

Was just wondering, so if we see another member we can call them up

ps Have posted this on a couple of other sites I belong to.

I have 'Apache' on the side of the truck. A lot of others have their forum name on theirs too.

Will get round to sorting my CB soon. Gonna move the antenna to the bonnet edge and have a shorter coax. Should be better.

Channel 22 is used by Wessex 4X4 response if they have been called out. Other response groups also use 22.

Channel 19 used to be used as one of the contact channels, so is a possibility.

May be handy if when a channel is agreed it's for "daily use" while groups on lane trips / off road days use another one.

19 would make sense as the first 'hello' and if people want to speak further then agree a channel to switch to?

If I'm off out on a Run "Drumclog" "Norfolk" or SRTTS I normally run on channel 19 till i'm at the Venue n then set it to the agreed channel ...

                          There's always a Payback .... Don't expect any warning tho !!!!
