Does your wife use the pumpkin flesh? My wife makes great pumpkin pies.

          Recipe

First thing you do is scrape the flesh out of the pumpkin & put it through the blender/liquidiser.

Line a flan tin with pastry.
Mix 4oz of brown sugar with a teaspoon of ground ginger & a teaspoon of all spice, mix this into 1.5lb of pumpkin puree with 2 eggs, stir in 8 fl oz of single cream & pour into the pastry case. bake for 45 minutes (190 degrees C gas mark 5) or until the filling has set, leave it to cool for a short while & eat it while it's still warm.

          ENJOY

                yeah, thats it mate.

the middle is manky an its obvious what needs to be dug out.

Once its out then just hack it with a knife!

When I was a lad, pumpkins hadnt been invented. We used a neep ( turnip). They were a right bu**er to hollow out.
I suppose for the halloween lantern purpose the pumpkin is a good invention ( God bless America) and yours look very cool.
