Recovery goes wrong

Ouch!!

Found this on another forum, not sure if a kinetic rope was used but the guy was recovering another truck and the tow eye of the truck being recovered came off and went through his windscreen, luckily know one was hurt.

i see a nice L200 in somerset today, down a ditch!!!

i reckon he came round the corner giving it throttle and it oversteered, because he was down the ditch on the apex side. woops!

theyre nice when they have the hardtop back like a surf.. and theyre leaf sprung.. not sure if thats better than coils or not

Don't know much about recovering, but what about a car mat or old coat over the recovery rope to stop it rising, and hitting the recovery car?

with that inda tension that really wouldnt help mate,my guess is its kenitic rope,ie a big elastic band with a metal hook on the end that did that,couldnt happen to a nicer car lol

I couldn't remember exactly how it went so i googled Esso blue.

The smoke was the best bit... ...Closely followed by the smell.
