  • Honest Hilux - TOR

    Now that I like.

A proper 'tool for the job' - simple, rugged, devoid of bling.

Vicki asked me what my next car would be when the inevitable happens and 'old Apache' becomes uneconomical to repair / maintain. I said 3rd gen, or pickup. Pickup is probably odds on.

    Gotta be a pickup!

Mk 4 double cab would be nice. Not keen on the mk 5's looks and Mk 6 is just too expensive at the moment.

A double cab with a truckman top an the usual offroading goodies looks great, Drives well an is pretty Good offroad.

The ar$e is longer then a surf.. But higher i think.

Mk 3 double cabs are dropping in price like nobodys business

A pick-up bed has to be long enough to get a dirt bike in and close the tailgate.

I've known about vinces shall we say, dislike of double cab pickups.

I can understand why to be honest. They just seem to be the wrong shape for too many things.
