mpg really bad

good morning every one i have aproblem with truck since saturday its useing a lot more diesel than normal checked pipes,under bonnet can not see any leeks last section of exhaust fell off a couple ago would that have anything to do with it.

when did the truck last a sevice with all filters changed ,oil and coolant

it had service about nine months ago went to airport saturday and back gauge showing i had used half a tank,took lad to school this morning 2 mile you could see the gauge going down,could be afault with it,its been really acurate in the past.

give it a oil and filter change and see what it's like from there

Also run either some Diesel Red X through the system or fill fuel filter with ATF...
