While you're here, how much bigger/capacity is a RangeRover rad compared to a 2.4 Surf's, any idea?
what you want is the rad from a leyland daf van, thats what i had on stein, about the same size as a range rover rad but twice as thick.r u running a seperate auto cooler.?oh and i dont think theres much in it between the 2.4 rad and the range rover rad maybe a few litres or more.it does have a bigger surface area though so it cools quicker

I'm getting a seperate trans and oil cooler.
The 2.4 rad I'm using at the moment, is only just adequate, I don't think it'll put up with slow moving green laning or off-roading. I've got a 16" pusher fan with works great, but it seems to be working overtime if driven hard or in traffic. The engine cools straight away as soon as I get up to 40mph though.
Apparently they use Rangerover rads in Oz and BMW 740 rads are used in south Africa with the Lexus v8.
I need a bigger/thicker rad with the inlet on passenger side and outlet on driver's. This is my only concern with the total install, COOLING!
It's worth more than you'll actually get for it i'm guessing, specialist truck/specialist market, if your anything like me i seem to always pay top dollar, spend time and money and then have to practicly give stuff away, thats why after the buick i swore i'd never spend/work on another vehicle again, and here i am! still at it
