Do u think its worth it?

Iv been thinking today whether it would be worth buying back the surf off the insurance company?
It in average conditon because i used it for work ,but i did keep it mechanically sound.
In the last year its had:-
pro-comp shocks
new springs
New front discs
new Radiator and water pump.
Complete new head
All ball joints.
new idler arm and pitmen arm.

Everything electrical works

Might just have to see how much they give me and how much they want!

Go for it - when all's said and done you know exactly what you've got which is more than can be said for any potential replacement

If you can get it back at a good price then you should buy it back. Like you say at least you know its machanically sound, you may go buy another and it could turn out to be a dog and you will be gutted. Still it depends how much you will have to spend to put your write-off right.

it has to be,they will only charge you 10%of wot they value it at,remember tho you dont have to accept their first offer,u can try and push for but,but trouble is they will want some proof of wot they cost to buy at the mo,so you could shoot yr self in the foot,id say anything above 2 grand at the mo is good

Not to sure but he hit the wheel and turned it snapping drop arm and power steering. Dont know what else it damaged could be a lot !

Mmmmm, does'nt sound like alot but hey im no specialist, its up to you at the end of the day, seems a shame if it wont cost an arm and a leg to put right. Can't you have someone take a look at it for you to get a better idea.

I know its not too much but they never seem to drive right after !!

If so, they were never repaired correctly. Some difference might be noted due to old worn parts being replaced, but nothing more.
