  • will this fit my surf

Hi all, long time no talk.
Just found this bumper, looks like it is a winch one as its got a little slit under the bumper, but will it fit my 1991 2nd jen surf?

no...youneed thespecific one for a surf.the problem is, its aluminum and if you want to put a winch in it, it requires a steel insert.the recess that the insert sits in is very diferent beween the surf and the pickup..sorry dude.
    Non intercooled nothing.

        You could make it fit.

It should be in two halves.

The section that is the bumper and a mounting cradle just for the bumper.

If your any good with welding/fabrication (or able to get Stein involved) then you could make it fit. £100 isn't a bad price.

As GWH said, you will have to fork out more to actually mount a winch in it.

100 quid?? It WILL fit at that price.

p.s. You don't need a winch, just don't go off-roading on your own. Or, make sure you have at least 50 quid cash to pay farmers to pull you out when you get stuck.

I aggree! i'd bl00dy make it fit at that price, you can make up your own winch tray and alter the bumper accordingly, it just what i'd like to make in
s/s and cut my jaos bars and incorporate em into the bumper,

If you dont want it Will, I'll consider it. might have to mod it or my bashplate, but I've no wish to fit a winch so I dont care about inserts.

I got stuck in Scotland twice and got pulled out twice by two separate farmers and they didn’t charge me a penny.

bumper went, oh well should have got in there sooner.
                thanks to all anyway

right scrub what i said....buy it asap.with some bespoke mounts it WILL fit...i had a quick peek at mine and it had a hilux sticker inside.you will need a steel insert for the recess where the winch fits, and mounts built off where it seats.

edit: sorry dude, just noticed its gone...but making up a winch tray may be the way forward....get in touch with surfenstein
