rear diff removal

I have had a read of this post Dr Anglegrinder had put up as reply to MrE's thread

Is this the only way of removing the rear diff as i am trying to get the diff out the breaker for Kerrsurf.I am limited for time to get the diff out as i need to get rid of the remainder of this truck so if anyone knows of an easier way to get the rear diff out can you let me know please.TIA

You can't take the diff out without pulling the halfshafts clear first. If you're not too fussy you don't need to disconnect the brake cables, just unhitch them from the radius arms. Whole job should take about an hour start to finish.
