Mudsurfer, I have 2 discs that have totally gone & the vertibrae are rubbing together & causing me grief, I've recently given up on my military vehicles which I have enjoyed for years, it's hard when you have to give things up for the good of your health, I almost quit driving too but the surf is so comfortable for me that I'll carry on, I'll still do the shows but I'll just do Gulf war & falklands war displays & instead of camping I'll stay in B&Bs, you don't have to give up everything you just have to adapt.

Painkillers do very little for me & now the arthritis is speading things are getting worse, the only thing that will give total relief is smoking a spliff, don't get me wrong I'm not a pot head, I just smoke one when things get too much or when things are at their lowest, usually one or two a year gives me enough relief to keep going for a while, that short break in the constant pain lifts the spirits & lets me have one good nights sleep, it's not just the physical pain but the mental strain too that brings you down, believe me you are not alone.

      Cheers
      Ian

I saw 'Pineapple express' the other day.

Good film, pretty funny! But there was one line that really stuck to me...

The guy was saying pot should be legal. His reason was that it forced Decent ordinary people to get involved with drug dealers.

An i think he's got a pretty good point!

Its hard to say if it should be legal! Dont want people going crazy on the stuff! But then is it being illegal causing it to be more desirable?!

I've been allowed to drink beer from a young age. Never really did an still dont really drink much at all. But ive got mates who weren't allowed a drop till 18! Now there hooked!

          Forbidden fruit kinda thing....

          Ahem!

            Spot on Rod !

My three kids are 16 next month and have been allowed access to booze since they were able to hold a glass - it's extremely rare for them to have more than one drink in an evening

In contrast, I used to get hammered 5 nights a week when I was 15 - I used to walk past the corner window of the pub and my pint would be waiting for me by the time I reached the bar !

Then again it was only 15p a pint then .....
