    i dont do a lot of off roading got a split driveshaft gaiter,done a search wow, no way me can do, what u reckon on split gaiter chaps? garage wonts lots of money,some wont evan touch it, m.o.t next month oh dear.

    Duct tape it for now, but you will need to get it done soon.....

    It is a bit of a cats bum of a job, but if you have time, it's worth doing - or bite the bullet and get a garage to do it....shop around, see if there are options...

      got some tape will try it, still got lots of grease in it still, you dont reckon on split gaiter?.

        What?

        The duct tape is a temp fix, the rest of what I suggested was to replace the CV boot, not get a garage to put the tape on.....

                    If you are regularly flexing the front sus in 4 wheel drive, dont expect one of those to last long.

                        I agree with Andy - if you don't fancy doing it once- don't try the easy way around it - you'll only end up doing it more often - costs more money, and is a lot more mess!!
