  • GHD hair straightners

last time Mrs Slugs hair straightners packed up, i popped down to argos and bought some for 15 quid... they've done the job ever since.

NOW she wants GHD ones.... they're over £100 but anyone know why they're so expensive?... are they really the dogs bits??

she does use them a LOT... so i don't really grudge paying a bit for them, but don't wanna pay over the odds if they're just overpriced the same as any others.

    anyone know anything about them?

(probably one for the ladies, this)

My wifes GHDs packed up so I bought a new flex off ebay for under £10, I fitted it in 5 minutes & she's a happy bunny again now.

well, now this is the thing, what is her hair like naturally? if it is curly naturally, or thick and tends to be a little frizzy, GHD's are brill, however, my hair is straight and fine and i can get away with using vidal sassoon ceramic plated ones, before this i had some glass plated ones and they were great too, i would say personally that if her hair isn't curly, extremely frizzy and thick, i would invest in some slightly more expensive ones than before but if it is curly, etc... then GHD are great!
        hope i've helped

Maggie has just confirmed they are the dogs danglies, makes the other types seem even more shit, she won't use anything else, she got them from her hairdresser for trade price, £60.

            I do not own a 3rd gen.

they are about £100 normally and they even do pink ones for an extra £20 ish
(don't quote me on prices tho lol)
the way i see it is why spend out loads on something when you can get something that does exactly the same for half the price lol
                    these look fine to me

Well, there is slightly more room in the engine bay apparently.
