no mate i was lucky previous owner fitted towbar with reciever hitch, so all i had to do was slide out towball and slide in reciever shackle
have a look on there site as they do the whole shebang

The U.S sites have a lot of info on hitch receivers. A well built one should be as good as using a solid towball/pin (or whatever else is currently pushed in), setup. A shonky one obviously won't be, however.
