Hi All have just taken head off the surf to do the head gasket wot a job was gutted to find cracks across 2-3 and 4 pots so heads shot had a look at the pots and also 2-3 and 4 pistons are very badly pitted to the stage where they are also shot.So has anyone got or know where i can get hold of a recon engine any help would be appreciated big thanks

not yet have only just finnished does the colorado engine drop straight in

its basically the same as the surf 3.0 litre. give them a call, as im sure they will be able to get you an exact match.

I might have a whole surf to break with a 3ltr head thats only 4 months old. I think its just been written off by some drunk driver!! I might ask to buy it back for spares.

Cheers but my pistons are all shot so its more cost effective to get a new lump thanks anyway
