    Hi all,

What do you think about an unmodified 3rd Gen 3.0TD SSRX and AT tyres tackling the likes of Strata Florida and Salisbury plain?

yh it would handle it. it's not all about what the truck can do it also depends on the driver

if you want to find out what it will do bio and myself have arranged a little day out on the plains at the end of november, have a look at the bio-stein games thread and see if you can get in one of the teams for the games.

The first time I drove Strata was in a bog standard 2.4 on A/T's - usually the track has very little mud as its all rock, but lots of water.

The Plain is much much muddier - make sure you are with someone!

You can do most of the Plain on road tyres - just watch where you're going and don't follow people blindly !

Life is too important to take seriously !

I'd say that that would be the result of letting some of the more dubious members of the forum follow you altogether too closely !

it should be fine.but under NO circumstances,go alone

or as mudsurfer has said, you will die....well perhaps not, but if you have an accident and your running solo,(like the girl in the discovery recently),the consequences can be severe.......we were ther recently and saw the flowers left by the start,in memoriam, so whatever happens dont go alone

Thanks for the info guys. Don't worry i would definitely not go offroading alone.

It would be nice to make it to the Bio-Stien games, but i still need to get front and rear recovery points (i'm going to get rated hooks on the front, and not sure about the rear) and some recovery straps. So i won't join up until these are fitted.

                      Thanks again
